How does Giveaways work?
Create fair giveaways, keep entry rules clear, and finish every prize without losing the record.
How do I start a giveaway?
Open Giveaways in the dashboard and choose Create giveaway. Add the prize, destination channel, winner count, entry rules, message, and closing time. Yuna saves meaningful drafts as you work, so you can finish later.
Who can enter?
A giveaway can stay open to every human member or require selected roles, account age, time in the server, boosting, a Yuna level, or recent activity. Blocked roles and members are checked before an entry is accepted.
Can I change how it looks?
Every giveaway message opens in Message Studio with Yuna's finished default already in place. Edit the live post, reminder, winner announcement, winner DM, or no-winner result as text, an embed, or a Components V2 container, and use variables to keep prize, timing, winner, claim, and link details current.
How do I reuse the same setup?
Save a finished draft as a Giveaway Template, then choose it when starting the next giveaway. You can set one server default and optional channel defaults; explicit changes always win, and changing the channel later never overwrites a draft you already edited.
How are winners selected?
Yuna uses each member's saved entry weight to select winners without replacement. Members who no longer meet the entry rules are skipped before the result is announced.
How do winners claim a prize?
Prize claiming is optional. Set a deadline, keep expired claims for staff review, or draw a replacement automatically. If Yuna Tickets is already enabled, a claim can open one of your existing ticket types without creating a second support system.
What can staff manage?
Staff Access separates viewing, editing, and drawing permissions. Authorized staff can update the prize, presentation, closing time, and winner count; pause or resume a giveaway; finish it early; reroll replacements; mark prizes delivered from Finished or `/giveaway deliver`; or repair a missing public post. The channel and host stay fixed after publishing, and entry rules lock after the first entry.
