Which moderation action should I use?

Choose the least disruptive action that solves the problem, while keeping the member and the next moderator informed.

How do I choose the right level?

Warn when the member needs a documented correction, timeout when they need a temporary pause, jail when access must be restricted inside the server, kick when they may return, and ban when they must not.

How do I leave a useful record?

Write a reason another moderator can understand without opening raw chat history. When Cases is enabled, the sanction, duration, moderator, evidence, note, DM status, and later reversal remain linked.

How do I choose whether external actions become cases?

Yuna actions are recorded by default. External tracking is a separate owner choice for supported actions made directly in Discord or through another bot. Member notifications remain off unless external tracking and notifications are both enabled.

How do I use mass actions deliberately?

Mass ban, kick, and timeout validate every target and keep separate case outcomes. One shared evidence submission is processed once, then linked consistently to each resulting case.

How do I tell the member what happened?

Yuna attempts the moderation DM before actions that may remove the shared server. Closed DMs do not block the sanction, but the case records whether the member could receive the explanation or appeal path.
